Easiest Chuck Roast Crock Pot Recipe!!
Okay busy parents this one is for you! As someone who really enjoys cooking, I never really got enthused with the crock pot. It just didn’t seem like actually cooking to me. However, now that I am a mom of a toddler, I have a serious love with crock-pot cooking. I even have a mini that I use for dips! I totally get the crock pot craze. Nothing beats coming home on a work night, and having dinner already prepared. What is better than having a full proof recipe that you basically dump in the pot, set it, and come home to a delicious home cooked meal? It allows you to easily budget and typically there are left-overs for either lunch or dinner in the future. I also don’t have that overwhelmed feeling right when I walk in the door. I actually have time to poor myself a glass of wine and drink it! BONUS!
So on to the recipe!
I use a 6-quart Crock-Pot. Add Chuck Roast (I literally put the chuck roast in the pot frozen), 1 packet of onion and mushroom soup, 1/3 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 sliced yellow onion, 1 bag of snack carrots, and a handful of mushrooms.
After you dump all those ingredients in, add water to the crock pot until it is about half-inch under the chuck roast. Lastly, you crack pepper on the top of the chuck roast. That is it. Set it on low for 6-7 hours.
I don’t know about you, but after I do this step, I literally walk out the door smiling! Dinner is done and I am just starting the day!
When I get home, all I do is make gravy, by sautéing the remaining mushrooms with butter. I add some of the onions and broth from the roast with a little flour.
You can serve it with mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. This is very easy and the flavor is Amazing!
